Our Story
Mama Socorro, originating from San Luis, Potosi, Mexico, was an artist at the blending of Mexican spices and flavors. Armed with her secret recipes, she decided to create a line of the best products anywhere.
Mama Socorro started her business in 1973, selling to friends, family, and at farmers’ markets. It wasn’t until 1993 when her son Bebo convinced her to put her products in the local Kansas City grocery stores, that the city fully welcomed her and sales continued to grow.
Sadly, in 2012 Mama passed away at the young age of 96, she always said her salsa with her secret spice mix makes you live longer, and maybe she's right! Mama added love in her secret mix and our goal is to always bring the quality of the product that mama cared so much about.
